We are committed to promote green culture through environmental awareness programmes and minimisation of wastage by focusing on the ‘3Rs’ approach to reduce, reuse and recycle materials.
Reduce
“Be Earth-Friendly”
To care for our environment, every effort is made to reduce the consumption of resources in our daily operations. Each employee plays an active role in the waste minimisation programmes to reduce the volume of wastes generated in the offices and plants.
Some of the initiatives are the increased use of office technology to reduce paper consumption, energy conservation and use of water saving devices.
Reuse
Waste Water Treatment Plant
Wherever possible, the Company tries to reuse existing resources in our operations.
The waste water from electricity generation is recovered and reused at our water treatment facilities. As a result, our water consumption (per kWh) is one of the lowest among the major electricity generating companies in Singapore.
Other measures implemented include reuse of office supplies, use of re-manufactured toner cartridges and recycled papers.
Recycle
Recycle Bins
Recycling is encouraged in the Company. Bags or bins are conveniently made available and accessible within the premise to facilitate all employees to segregate and dispose their recyclable wastes. Some of the recyclable materials collected include toner cartridges, papers, metal scraps, cans, bottles, electronic & electrical components and waste oil.
