Power Station |

Tuas Power Station and its associated facilities are located at the
western shore of Singapore. The station, which occupies an area of
approximately 75 hectares, was developed in two stages. |
Stage
I
Stage I comprises two units of 600 MW oil-fired steam generating plant.
The plant began commercial operation in 1999.
Stage
II
Stage II consists of four blocks of gas-fired combined cycle power
plant, each capable of generating up to 367.5 MW. Blocks 1 and 2
were completed in 2002 while 2005 saw the completion of Blocks 3
and 4, bringing Tuas Power Station to its licensed capacity of 2,670 MW. |
